Salsa Tatemada

Ingredients

  • 2 tomotoesRoma Tomato (small)
  • 1 pepperPepper (Jalapeño or Serrano)
  • 1/4 onionWhite onion
  • 1 cloveGarlic Cloves
  • 1/2 cupLime juice
  • 1 tspKosher salt

Directions

  1. Step 1: On medium heat, roast tomatoes, onions, peppers, and garlic until charred and soft. Set aside to cool.
  2. Step 2: Grind salt, garlic and peppers into a paste
  3. Step 3: Remove skin from tomatoes, then add to paste mixture and blend. Transfer to bowl
  4. Step 4: Dice onions, stir into salsa
  5. Step 5: Add lime juice and seasonings to salsa, stir
